In the suspenseful fifth book of the Ellery Hathaway series, we find the detective caught up her most dangerous assignment yet, facing off with her former attempted murderer Francis Coben. Her ex-boyfriend and savior from Coben, FBI agent Reed Markham gives Ellery a letter from Coben saying he has additional information about his previous string of murders but will only give them the details if Ellery joins Reed at the prison. Ellery is faced with the horrible guilt of surviving and never wanting to face this monster again and knowing that she is the only way they will get justice for other victims.
Last Seen Alive is 305 pages long and took me three days to read.
If you haven’t started this series already then you absolutely need to. This book is my favorite so far and I’m giving it a 5 out of 5! I loved everything about this twisty-turny action-packed story. Ellery is so compelling and feels so real. Joanna Schaffhausen has done it again!
Thank you, Minotaur Books, for sending me this copy!
