Tessa has a perfect life. A stable marriage, two incredible kids and a career she loves. When driving home to her Florida house after dropping her kids off with her parents, she gets a notification that a hurricane is headed directly in her path. Her husband was supposed to make it home this evening after a trip to New York that has now been delayed due to the weather. After she preps their house by herself she tries to get some work in before she completely loses power. That’s when she sees a naked picture of a twenty-something on her husbands Ipad. In a fury she texts this girl while claiming to be her husband, asking her to come over to ride the storm out together. Needless to say, the storm is harsher inside the house than the hurricane raging outside.
Mine is 290 pages long and took me two days to read.
I really had fun reading this book! While it’s certainly upsetting, I’ll remember reading this for a long time. I’m giving it a 3.5 out of 5!
Thank you, Gallery Books, for sending me this copy!
