Recently retired senator, John Bright, is spending three weeks of his relaxing summer with his wife, four sons, their significant others and Farah, the documentarian working on a show about families in politics. But three weeks is a long time to be stuck together and it can bring up previously hidden insecurities and problems. With the Bright family on display will they show the world their true colors or will their perfectly polished veneer remain?
The Misfortunes of Family is 338 pages long and took me two days to read.
I loved this book so much! I’m giving it a 4 out of 5! It is a great read that feels like a beach read and will bring summer to you. I’ll be reading more family dramas thanks to this story!
Thank you, Harper Collins, for sending me this copy!
Here’s to the adventure of finding a novel novel!
