I just can’t pass up a mystery novel.
Harper McClain is very familiar with death. Not just because she is a crime reporter in her local town, Savannah, GA, but because she was the one who found her mothers body as a child after she was brutally murdered. A crime that had never been solved. When Harper gets a call about a murder in a prominent neighborhood, she rushes to the scene but her stomach drops when she hears the details of the murder that are eerily similar to her mother’s case. Harper becomes obsessed with solving the new murder at any cost. Her job, home and even her life are at stake.
The Echo Killing is 353 pages long and took me four days to read.
I’m giving this book a 3.5 out of 5! I really enjoyed Harper’s mind and her dedication. She felt like a real person which I always enjoy. I can’t wait to read the follow-up, A Beautiful Corpse, which comes out in March! Highly recommend for fans of strong female characters solving mysteries!
Thank you, Minotaur Books, for sending me this copy!
Here’s to the adventure of finding a novel novel!
