A child’s body is found under suspicious circumstances in London during a pandemic that has already killed thousands. On his last day before retirement, DI MacNeil is put on the case. He knows the chances of solving this case in 24 hours are slim to none and he not only feels his fast approaching retirement, someone following his trail and every detail very closely but he was also exposed to the extremely contagious virus. This is his last chance to do something good before one of two things; his retirement or his death.
Lockdown is 398 pages long and took me 5 days to read.
Considering this book was written 15 years ago, I’ve never understood the panic more than I did in Lockdown. I really enjoyed reading this and am giving it a 4 out of 5! Highly recommend for those who love mysteries and suspense!
