The Silent Conspiracy-L.C. Shaw

The exciting follow-up to The Network!

They know there are still members of the Institute out there that might want to cause them harm but so far it’s been quiet. When some strange things start to happen on the East coast, Jack knows that reporting this story is important and that it almost feels familiar somehow. So he digs and makes a shocking discovery, not only is their arch-nemesis (Crosse) alive, he has embedded himself in their lives and won’t stop until he destroys them and the world as they know it.

The Silent Conspiracy is 320 pages long and took me three days to read.

I LOVED the follow-up and can’t wait for book 3! I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 and highly recommending you read this series because it truly feels like you’re reading a fast-paced movie!

The Woods-Vanessa Savage

Tess has never recovered from her sister dying when they were in their teens. But when Tess gets a call from her father telling her that their stepmother has been brought home to die peacefully, Tess must face what she’s been avoiding for ten years… the woods behind their house where her sister died and the buried memories of that night.

The Woods is 370 pages long and took me two days to read.

I’m giving this a 3 out of 5. I was so invested in this story and was disappointed with what felt like an abrupt ending. I wish it would have been just a little longer and that certain aspects of the book were different. I won’t get into those aspects because I don’t want to spoil the book but overall liked it.

She can’t understand why someone she doesn’t know would have her as her emergency contact. But the mystery doesn’t stop there and suddenly Charlotte feels as though her newly stapled together life is rapidly and even more severely coming undone.

In Case of Emergency is 368 pages long and took me two days to read.

I really enjoyed this book and wasn’t expecting all of great twists and turns but I’m giving this a 3.5 out of 5. I have a super irrational pet peeve of the same word being used over and over again to describe something and every time I would see the word repeated I’d get annoyed. I’m not going to say what it was because I don’t want others to over-analyze like me! I really did like this book so please read it.
