Dahlia Black-Keith Thomas

Dahlia Black tells the story of the world post-Elevation and what led up to millions of people disappearing off the planet. ”The Pulse” may have changed human DNA but the behind the scenes of the worlds largest loss is even more drastic than previously known.

Dahlia Black is 269 pages long and took me three days to read.

I really enjoy Keith Thomas’ writing style and his creativity in coming up with his stories! I really enjoyed this book and am giving it a 3 out of 5! I will continue to read anything Keith Thomas puts out!

The House of Brides- Jane Cockram

The House of Brides has always been a touchy subject for Miranda. Her mom wrote the book before she was born and had significant success from her one hit wonder. Miranda receives a letter addressed to her now deceased mother in the mail from her long lost cousin who lives in the home her mother famously wrote about, Miranda decided to immediately leave her mess of a life for the chance to start a new with the family she’s never met but longed for. But when she arrives not everything is as it seems and Miranda herself has to disguise who she is to feel safe in the larger than life home.

The House of Brides is 366 pages long and took me two days to read.

I enjoyed this story and am giving it a 3 out of 5! It’s much more of a family drama instead of the horror I thought it would be but I really liked it!

Being a high school English teacher at a private school is a challenging job but Alex knows she is up to the job, if only because she doesn’t have a choice. The Escape Room-Megan Goldin

One of the scariest things that has happened to me in my 30 years was getting stuck in an elevator for a few minutes and having the car drop a floor. Needless to say, I was worried to read this book once I realized “The Escape Room” is an elevator.

Vincent, Sam, Sylvie, and Jules work at a high power and high-intensity Wall Street firm. When they are summoned on a Friday night to participate in a mandatory team building exercise, they aren’t thrilled. This nuisance of a meeting turns out to be something much more sinister… revenge.

The Escape Room is 356 pages long and took me four days to read.

I’m giving this book a 3.5 out of 5! I really enjoyed following this story play out. I wasn’t expecting to feel so satisfied with the ending but who doesn’t love a good revenge story?!?
